Household Garbage And Trash Rules


PLEASE NOTE: All tenants must comply with city ordinances and Landlord rules without exception.

  • Always place trash containers in the rear or side of the building against the building wall or fence. Never store the garbage can or trash bags in the front of your apartment.
  • Keep your container clean by periodically washing the inside and outside.
  • Never set household garbage bags outside of the apartment. Put them in the trash can only or keep them in the house.
  • If the lid won’t close your can is overloaded. Keep the lid closed.

Household Garbage

  • All household garbage, trash, and yard waste- including leaves and grass clippings, construction debris, sheetrock, sawdust, etc., must be containerized.
  • Containerized garbage is collected 2 x per week on your scheduled days.
  • Garbage carts may not be placed out for collection any sooner than 4:00 pm on the day preceding your regular collection day.  Emptied containers must be removed from the curb by noon on the day immediately following the collection day.

Bulky Waste

  • Items that are too large to fit in the cart – such as furniture and tree limbs – are collected 1 x per week on your scheduled day.
  • Debris must be neatly stacked or securely tied in bundles, and shall not exceed six feet in length and 400 pounds in weight.
  • Collection does not include construction debris generated from new construction and demolition of primary structures.

White Goods and Tires:

  • Tires and white goods- such as refrigerators, washers, and water heaters – are collected 1 x per week on your scheduled day.
  • Please limit placement per day to: tires (4 per unit) and white goods (4 per unit).
